Now we’ve entered into a new year, the DCA looks at
some of its Corporate Members’ significant moments
from 2019. We had so many contributions that we have

he DCA’s membership base is varied
and includes providers of products
and services to the sector, data
centre owners and operators, consultants
and training organisations. The DCA exists
to support all its members and to raise both
their profiles and the profile of the industry.
Highlights for Corporate Partners
in 2019
TechBuyer is a global leader in the
buying, refurbishing and selling of data
centre equipment. Not only selling new IT
parts, the company buys used parts such
as servers, memory and storage and turns
them into low-cost, quality refurbished IT
equipment. Techbuyer has been dynamic
on many fronts related to the data centre
sector and remains a very proactive
member of the DCA.

Knowledge Transfer Project in Partnership
with UEL, presentations at DCW
Frankfurt, panel sessions at Data Centre
Transformation and DCD London, the
launch of a technical facility in France and a
listing in the Sunday Times Fast Track 200.
Techbuyer has also been working with
Schools Africa, an organisation that
enables an IT asset disposition (ITAD)
service to provide second life equipment
in African schools.

Datum delivers environmentally intelligent

Datum is also a founding member of the
DCA and has been a member since 2010.
Financially, Datum is showing above-
market revenue growth and in June 2019
the company’s success was reflected in
its calendar year 2018 accounts, which
showed its first EBITDA profit. Datum
was also thrilled when the results of a
client survey (published in July) revealed it
had achieved a world-class category Net
Promoter Score (NPS) of 91.
This demonstrates a very high likelihood
that Datum clients would recommend
Datum to their peers or colleagues. In
December 2019, Datum was shortlisted
for the Best Performing Company (Data
Centre and Hosting Services) award in the
2020 Megabuyte Emerging Stars Awards.
Teledata provides colocation services
to a range of sectors throughout the UK.
The company has made several exciting
announcements this year including
investment of a six-figure sum into the
CloudActiv platform, which provides
customers with truly resilient cloud
hosting and effective disaster recovery
of business-critical data and applications.
It has also invested £1.5 million in a new
