EDITOR’S NOTE
LYNCHPIN MEDIA TEAM
ello and welcome to
H
the latest edition of
Intelligent Data Centres
where this month, we
take a closer look at
the goings on within
the data centre sector. We hear from
various experts who offer their best
practice advice on an abundance of
interesting topics which include how to
protect our data centres, preparing for
5G, and future predictions.
This month, CNet Training’s CEO, Andrew
Stevens, appears on the cover. His
discussion is extremely relevant given the
current circumstances as he talks to us
about the instructor-led programs CNet is
offering to help companies deal with the
strain of remote working during COVID-19.
Stevens explains more about the remote
attendance program in terms of how it
works and its success, as well as revealing
the vendor’s plans to continue the offering
after the pandemic.
This issue, we hear more on a frequent hot
topic of discussion that is 5G, and how we
should prepare. According to Qualcomm,
by 2035, 5G will support the production
of up to £9.3 trillion worth of goods and
services. Andreas Sila, Market Manager
Data Centre at HUBER+SUHNER, is here
to tell us how companies should invest in
their 5G infrastructure.
Another expert offering their opinion this
month is Florian Malecki, International
Product Marketing Senior Director of
StorageCraft, on page 39. He discusses
the best practice approach to data
protection for modern organisations, and
explains how they can better protect
themselves by assessing and testing their
recovery plans for ransomware prevention.
This month, we ‘Deep Dive’ with David
Friend, Co-founder and CEO of Wasabi
Technologies, who tells us how he landed
his role in the industry, and how he likes to
relax and unwind outside the office.
I hope you enjoy the read and if you’d like
to contribute to any future issues, please
