NEWS EcoDataCenter enters into six-year agreement for HPC colocation services coDataCenter has been E selected as a partner in a six-year agreement regarding colocation services for High Performance Computing (HPC.) The agreement includes 4MW high-density colocations which will be delivered from EcoDataCenters’ facility in Falun. EcoDataCenter has successfully operated HPC for the BMW Group in the data centre in Piteå (formerly Fortlax Datacenter) for the past four years and has now gained renewed trust after a period of fierce competition with other Nordic data centre players. Important criteria in the procurement have been technical credibility, which will ensure the operation of BMW Group’s HPC, together with high safety and, above all, a strong focus on sustainability. “We are very happy and proud to have won this contract with BMW. The fact that BMW chooses us as a partner proves that we have an offer that attracts customers with very high demands. It feels good to be able to support BMW secure its HPC operations and at the same time strengthen its sustainability profile within IT,” said Magnus Angermund, CMO, EcoDataCenter.
