1 . EGYPT
Orange Business Services has announced that it will design and build a new data centre to provide cloud services for Egypt ’ s ‘ New Administrative Capitalʼ . The project will be implemented in collaboration with Orange Egypt , who will supply the required infrastructure and services , following its appointment as the project ’ s prime contractor by Administrative Capital for Urban Development ( ACUD ) – owner and developer of the New Administrative Capital . The ACUD project has been designed as a smart sustainable city located 45 km east of Cairo on a greenfield site , covering a total area of 700 km 2 ( 270 square miles ) midway to the seaport city of Suez .
2 . ANGOLA

ITA , part of the Paratus Group , has announced it has achieved VMware Cloud Verified status for its data centre in Angola . Paratus is a technology integrator and cloud services provider and ITA is the biggest network services provider , with the largest data centre in Angola . The VMware Cloud Verified badge signals to customers that ITA / Paratus offers a service running on top of the complete VMware Cloud infrastructure . Through Cloud Verified partner services , customers attain access to the full set of VMware Cloud Infrastructure capabilities including integration and interoperability , cost optimisation and flexibility . “ The VMware verification is a very important addition to the Paratus offering and we are delighted to have achieved this ,” said Rolf Mendelsohn , CTO , Paratus Group .
