CyrusOne announces 100 % renewable energy in Europe

C has announced it has achieved 100 % renewable energy across
its full European portfolio , nine years ahead of the 2030 target outlined in the self-regulatory Climate Neutral Data Center Pact , of which CyrusOne is a founding member .
With London , Amsterdam , Frankfurt and Dublin operating on a renewable tariff , CyrusOne ’ s entire operational portfolio in Europe is now powered by renewable energy with the help of local suppliers .

The move to 100 % renewable energy in Europe is part of a broader effort by CyrusOne to deliver highly efficient and sustainable data centre infrastructure to its customers globally . This includes effective design , maintenance and operation of all global facilities alongside dedicated water , habitat and energy conservation .
CyrusOne recently pledged to become a carbon-neutral operator by 2040 , with the European portfolio on track to reach this goal by 2030 . The company also published its first Sustainability Report last year and , as aforementioned , recently cofounded the Climate Neutral Data Center Pact , which includes 25 companies and 17 associations from across the industry and has a goal of making Europe climateneutral by 2050 .

and WAN networks , to bring bespoke connectivity solutions to Equinix ’ s enterprise clients in its International Business Exchange ( IBX ) data centre HH1 in Hamburg .
Companies deploying at HH1 and utilising interconnection services such as Equinix Fabric and Network Edge , can now access over 4,000 carriers and Internet Service Providers ( ISPs ) through GNX , thus benefitting from enhanced connectivity at the digital Edge .
By leveraging Equinix Fabric in combination with GNX ’ s managed firstand last-mile services , customers are able to access the entire global Equinix ecosystem of nearly 10,000 customers , including more than 1,800 networks and 2,950 + cloud and IT service providers . This enables companies to deploy their digital infrastructure effectively , with secure access to their own infrastructure , customers , ecosystem and clouds , across regions .
According to the Equinix 2020 – 21 Global Tech Trends Survey , IT leaders in Germany are working to digitise their IT infrastructure , with 78 % of respondents citing this as a priority of their organisation ’ s technology strategy . In addition , 69 % are focused on improving network optimisation and moving their infrastructure to the digital Edge .
