CyrusOne , a leading global Real Estate Investment Trust ( REIT ), has announced the freehold purchase of a five-acre site at a prime location in Alcobendas , Madrid , to build a new data centre facility . This is the company ’ s first planned European facility beyond the FLAP-D markets and will enable customers to rapidly scale Digital Transformation strategies by deploying critical infrastructure at the heart of this enterprise and emerging hyperscale market .

2 . NORWAY
Only nine months after the opening of the DC3-Oslo data centre , the site expands with an additional 4MW building . This second building is a built-to-suit project for a large international cloud provider and was delivered ahead of schedule despite the challenges posed by COVID-19 . The data centre expansion consists of a new 4 MW data centre building , doubling the current capacity at the site . It also includes new backup generator sets and associated infrastructure .
