Lendlease and Princeton Digital Group ( PDG ) has marked the commencement of construction of a 100 MW data centre campus with a groundbreaking ceremony in Saitama City , north of Tokyo . This is the first project under Lendlease Data Center Partners . Lendlease is developing and constructing the core and shell on a built-to-suit basis for PDG , on a longterm lease . PDG will invest in and operate the data centre with its mechanical and electrical equipment . This data centre will be one of the largest in Japan and is well-poised to serve the hyperscale requirements of some of the world ’ s largest cloud , commerce and content companies . The gross development value of the project post-completion of all phases will be in excess of AU $ 800 million for Lendlease , while PDG is investing US $ 1 billion of capital in this new data centre .

The news follows several recent additions to atNorth ’ s Board of Directors and other strategic hires , including the recent appointment of Ásdís Ólafsdóttir who leads the company ’ s ESG practice .
