Batelco, Bahrain’s leading digital

announcing an extension of its partnership with Tata
Communications, a leading global digital infrastructure
provider. The partnership will offer flexible and reliable
data connectivity with expanded global reach; to service
providers, mobile network operators (MNO) and ISPs in
the Middle East. This new collaboration brings together
Tata Communications’ global Tier-1 IP network and its
new partnership IP node with Batelco in Global Zone
– the Carrier Neutral Tier-3 certified data centre in
Bahrain, and the recently launched protected
terrestrial cable system of the Batelco
Gulf Network (BGN).
AFRICA
MainOne, a leading West Africa connectivity
and data centre solutions provider, is playing
a role in providing support towards the capacity
development of Nigerian youths with the successful
completion of the second batch of its Bright Minds
Graduate Trainee Programme. The two-month intensive
training session was deliberately designed to groom recent
Nigerian graduates into highly skilled technical professionals
by taking them through the fundamentals of the company’s
various business functions as well as personal effectiveness
skills they need to survive in today’s workplace before their
recruitment into the company. The programme combined
classroom style learning with practical sessions
facilitated by seasoned external consultants and
specialists within MainOne to help the trainees
understand the company’s core functions
which include connectivity and
managed cloud services.
