DE-CIX ’ s newest Internet Exchange ready for service in Finland

D centre-neutral interconnection ecosystem globally has announced its newest Internet Exchange in Helsinki , Finland , is ready for service .
The new DE-CIX IX is available in Equinix ’ s data centres in Helsinki ( HE-CIX ) with more enabled sites to be announced . In parallel with the launch of the new digital hub , which will be an important part of the DE-CIX interconnection ecosystem in the Nordics , DE-CIX and Nokia celebrated the 10th anniversary of their trailblazing partnership at Nokia ’ s headquarters in Espoo , close to the Finnish capital .
With the approach of one access , all clouds and every network , DE-CIX is bringing its InterconnectionFLEX service to Finland , which provides enterprises with a complete interconnection package as a holistic solution for cloud connectivity , virtual private network interconnects and direct interconnection between networks , also known as ‘ peering ’.
DE-CIX ’ s and Nokia ’ s long-standing relationship , which is based on joint research and development efforts and standardisation initiatives , has resulted in highly reliable , low-latency and seamless peering and interconnection services for customers around the world for more than 10 years .
Nokia provides innovative hardware – such as the newly developed FP5 network processor , designed to support 800 Gigabit Ethernet . This technology can be found in the latest Nokia 7750 SR-14s models , which DE-CIX uses , for instance , at Europe ’ s largest IX , DE-CIX Frankfurt .

T location of Rama 9 in Bangkok – with an investment of US $ 74 million ( THB2.5 billion ) – aiming to create a connectivity ecosystem and becoming the first purpose-built data centre to achieve 100 % power supply by renewable energy in Thailand . initiatives to be the first data centre in Thailand to procure 100 % renewable energy-based electricity , aligned with the Telehouse global target of achieving net-zero CO 2 emissions by 2026 .
The event was joined by H . E . Kazuya Nashida , Embassy of Japan in Thailand ; Sonklin Ploymee , Deputy Secretary General , Thailand Board of Investment ( BOI ); and credible partners from Thailand and other countries to mark the grand opening .
Telehouse is named one of the global data centre providers , with Bangkok being the newest location among 45 Telehouse locations in the world . Telehouse Thailand is the third footprint in South-east Asia with a building area of 9,000 square metres and a 9.5MVA power capacity .
With the location in the centre of Bangkok – Rama 9 – the data centre focuses on the interconnection strategy , aiming to be the Internet hub data centre where multiple telecommunication carriers and service providers interconnect and exchange data traffic domestically and internationally .
