Cirion strengthens regional data centre platform with new 20MW facility in Peru

C provider , has announced it has started construction on a new 12,000 sqm , 20MW carrier-neutral data centre in the industrial district of Macropolis in Lurín , Peru .
The new data centre is expected to open in the first quarter of 2025 and will be wellequipped to meet the needs of hyperscale cloud service providers , carriers , content providers and enterprises that require scalable infrastructure .
Strategically located in Lurín , the facility will have access to a business-friendly environment , renewable energy , diverse metro and long-haul connectivity to major cities and tech hubs in the region , as well
as proximity to international subsea cable networks to facilitate minimal latency between Latin America and other regions .

KDDI expands data centre presence in North America

K the latest expansion of its global footprint in North America by reaching an agreement with Allied Properties REIT to acquire three data centres and its accompanying assets in Toronto , Canada .
This investment of CAD $ 1.35 billion comes as a result of increased demand in the market for reliable interconnectivity services and is an important milestone for KDDI ’ s expansion plans which will see the company establish a new legal entity , KDDI Canada . customer needs , especially those expanding internationally , who require a highly trusted partner to establish their IT environment . The new carrier-neutral data centres are located in the city centre of Toronto – and when fully operational , will provide over 30MW of IT load .
