Organisations are making it their mission to appeal to women and girls as diversity , equity and inclusion influence the development of this male-dominated field .
Staffing shortfalls are a challenge data centre leaders continue to grapple with and companies have had to rethink their strategies to empower women in an under-represented world of work . According to Uptime Intelligence , approximately 8 % of the data centre workforce are women – a shockingly small percentage – and it ’ s these types of alarming statistics that have acted as a catalyst for industry players in carving a transformational and well-rounded future inclusive of women .
