CONSIDERING THE CAPABILITIES OF AI IN A TRANSFORMATIVE ERA

ver the course of the last month , the majority

O of conversations I ’ ve had with industry leaders in the data centre space have centred around Artificial Intelligence ( AI ). No matter the focus , the conversation always comes back to the benefits of this technology .

The conclusion I have drawn is that automation tools are fast emerging as a catalyst of technological development and are therefore creating the data centres of tomorrow .
Machine Learning ( ML ) also comes under the umbrella of AI and data centre leaders are leveraging ML for analysing past data and predicting future trends . This is of an invaluable nature and presents data centre leaders with an opportunity – one that is set to shape the future .
However , there is a widespread fear that automation will replace workers and jobs will be lost – an idea which , according to business leaders , is a misconception of how this technology is being utilised . Many of them believe that it is only going to accelerate operations and is already doing so .
Take Generative AI as an example . This tool is still relatively new but has managed to capture the attention of people far and wide who are using it to accelerate processes and create
