Company ( GFLC ) have unveiled details on a hyperscale development project in Pennsylvania . The Chester County development site spans 100 acres with future entitlement for up to 2 million square feet of data centre development . It touts an initial commitment of 290MW of power from the local provider , including access to carbon-free power capabilities to be available by 2025 – 2026 . Onsite green energy solutions include rooftop solar with potential generation of up to 7MW of capacity scalable to 25MW .
BELGIUM
Data centre specialist , LCL , has been awarded a gold medal by EcoVadis .
LCL obtained this medal by achieving excellent scores for four sustainability themes : environment , ethics , labour and human rights , and sustainable procurement . Only the top 5 % of companies assessed by EcoVadis are awarded gold medals . “ We are extremely proud that we obtained a gold medal in our first ever assessment by EcoVadis ,” said Laurens van Reijen , Managing Director , LCL Data Centers . “ This demonstrates once again how committed we are to sustainability at every level within our five data centres .”
