Strategic development reinforces STACK ’ s commitment to scalable , sustainable and client-driven digital infrastructure . STACK Infrastructure , the digital infrastructure partner to the world ’ s most innovative companies and a leading global developer and operator of data centres , has announced plans for a 144MW data centre campus in Loudoun County , Virginia .

Norwegian data centre operator Green Mountain and German energy company KMW have topped out a new data centre in Mainz , near Frankfurt , Germany .
Situated on Ingelheimer Aue , adjacent to KMW ’ s power plants , the 25,000 sqm ( 269,095 sq ft ) facility will initially offer 18MW of capacity .
Strategically located in the world ’ s largest and most competitive data centre market , this expansion strengthens STACK ’ s regional presence and delivers scalable , long-term capacity to meet the evolving demands of hyperscale clients . Positioned in the greater Ashburn data centre cluster , this campus will provide scalable capacity across two 72MW , twostorey buildings .
Once fully developed , the campus will feature three buildings with a total capacity of 54MW , though further details on the additional facilities have not yet been disclosed .
The site will be powered entirely by renewable energy and is expected to supply up to 60MW of waste heat , benefiting around 20,000 households .
Designed with advanced cooling capabilities , the facility supports multiple deployment models for AI , ML and cloud workloads , including closed-loop water cooling systems that maximise efficiency for highdensity environments . The campus will utilise 100 % renewable energy and draw power from an on-site substation , ensuring reliability .
