Chillmine, an innovative Seattle, WA-based data centre company, and Energywise Equipment, a leading Zimbabwe-based independent power producer( IPP) have announced a MOU to jointly pursue the development of data centre facilities powered by renewable energy in Zimbabwe.
Chillmine’ s liquid cooling solutions will drastically reduce operating costs and the environmental footprint of data centres in this growing region.
The MOU outlines a framework for the development of data centre facilities and Energywise’ s 100MW Runde River Solar Park, located in Zvishavane, Zimbabwe. This collaboration aims to leverage the solar energy generated by the Runde River Solar Park to power Chillmine’ s data centre operations, focusing on services such as crypto mining, crypto mining hosting, and AI Infrastructure-as-a-Service( IaaS).
