EFFICIENCYIT AND MSSL PARTNER FOR SUSTAINABLE AI AND HPC INFRASTRUCTURE

Designed to meet soaring demand for secure, scalable, and eco-conscious modular AI infrastructure in the UK and Europe, the alliance unites EfficiencyIT’ s proven data centre engineering expertise with MSSL’ s innovative switchgear manufacturing and installation capabilities.

Building on EfficiencyIT’ s ModularDC solutions and aligning with the UK Government’ s recently published AI Opportunities Action Plan, the partnership seeks to help organisations across the governmental, enterprise and life science sectors deploy highly resilient, scalable AI compute environments while achieving significant increases in sustainability.
EfficiencyIT and MSSL aim to reduce the time-to-deployment, cost and environmental impact typically associated with accelerated computing infrastructure for HPC( high-performance computing) and artificial intelligence( AI) workloads.
“ As demand for AI infrastructure intensifies, the data centre industry cannot afford to compromise on security, sustainability or resilience,” said Nick Ewing, Managing Director at EfficiencyIT.“ By formalising our partnership with Michael Smith Switchgear, we’ re ensuring that organisations across the public and private sectors can rapidly scale their data centre and AI compute environments without compromising on environmental commitments, supply chain security, or regulatory compliance.”
Sean Smith, Managing Director at MSSL, said:“ Our combined experience provides a powerful proposition for customers looking to accelerate their AI and high-powered data centre, energy or electrical projects, and we look forward to collaborating to help meet and exceed these ambitions.”
in cloud and AI,” said Hassan Alnaqbi, CEO of Khazna.“ Our alignment to these standards is another step towards aligning with broader international benchmarks.”
“ This strategic alliance between IDCA and Khazna will give Khazna’ s current and future clients the assurance that their data is being housed in facilities meeting the leading global standards and latest best practices,” said IDCA Chairman and CEO Mehdi Paryavi in making the announcement.“ Khazna plays such a critical role in the future of digital infrastructure for Cloud and AI and its adoption of IDCA standards exhibits the company’ s commitment in making a global impact.”

Headquartered in Washington D. C., IDCA will review and analyse Khazna’ s operations with its globally recognised standards. This includes data centre design, service delivery, cloud and AI deployments, and workforce development.

“ IDCA’ s framework is an industry benchmark that reflects the full complexity of modern digital infrastructure, particularly

The certification process, which began on July 1, 2025, includes comprehensive audits of Khazna’ s infrastructure, operational protocols and corporate systems.
Paryavi said:“ IDCA projects a growth of data centre capacity from the current level of around 55GW to as much as 250 to 300GW by 2030. This massive explosion of demand requires leading emerging global players like Khazna, who are already delivering results at scale, to meet international benchmarks.”
“ As AI becomes a defining force in our industry, our partnership with IDCA underscores our commitment to building intelligent, efficient and globally competitive data centres,” added Alnaqbi.
