Our aim for Datacloud events is quality over quantity. We only host a few standalone events each year because we focus on providing a platform where data centre operators and hyperscale companies can have productive meetings and access content that genuinely helps shape their strategies and advance their businesses.
Datacloud has expanded significantly. What challenges does this growth present for your team?
The recent growth has been considerable, with over a thousand C-level attendees and more than 1,200 data centre operators at our last event. The expansion was also seen across equipment vendors, professional services, finance and power sectors. Our Brussels event in March helped us engage with European grid operators and policymakers, which was exciting to bring to Cannes.
While the scale was larger than anticipated, we’ re pleased because it reflects the influence we aim to deliver. We prioritised ensuring the numbers aligned with our goal of providing valuable connections and content. We also focused on our‘ Talent in tech’ [ BY1 ] initiative, offering free passes [ BY2 ] for university students and earlycareer professionals in digital infrastructure. This commitment to nurturing future industry leaders is as important to us as supporting current business objectives.
How is Datacloud promoting diversity within the data centre industry?
We’ re very proud that our recent speaker lineup featured 25 % female representation on stage, which is above the industry average. This is something we take seriously. We actively encourage nominations through a‘ nominate a female speaker’ form on all our platforms. This year, we subtly introduced an all-female keynote session, recognising the importance of
