What would you describe as your most memorable achievement?
One of my most memorable achievements has been contributing to the growth of the data center industry in the EMEA region during this period of rapid expansion. This required agility, innovation, and close collaboration – particularly in leading efforts to standardize process by implementing consistent process frameworks that streamlined operations, reduced costs, and improved service quality. Throughout my career I have spearheaded the design and delivery of several state-of-the-art data centers across the EMEA, enhancing capacity, reliability and customer satisfaction. These efforts undoubtedly played a key role in significantly increasing market share and revenue across the region.
What first made you think of a career in technology?
My career in technology began somewhat by chance rather than by intention. Initially, I didn’ t set out to pursue a path in this field, however, my engineering background, insightful thinking, and professional experience naturally led me towards it. Over time, I honed my expertise and helped to drive impactful projects. This combination of skills and experiences made it a natural progression for me to eventually embrace a career in technology. Looking back, it feels like a perfect fit, aligning with my strengths and passions.
What style of management philosophy do you employ in your current position?
Collaborative and motivational leadership is part of atNorth’ s business ethos and directly aligns with my own style. In my current position, I employ a management philosophy centered around openness, and team empowerment. I believe in inspiring my team by setting a strong
example through my actions and work ethic. Much like Hannibal leading his elephants, I guide my team through challenges with determination and strategic foresight, ensuring we overcome obstacles together.
atNorth enables team members to grow and develop their own leadership skills by providing opportunities for professional development and encouraging them to take on new responsibilities. By helping my reports become leaders in their own right, we not only foster a motivated and cohesive team but also achieve our goals more effectively.
What do you think is the current hot talking point within the data centre space?
A key focus in the data centre industry today is the intersection of rapid digitization, the rise of AI, and the urgent need for sustainability – especially as the EU targets climate neutrality by 2050. The surge in digital activity across sectors is fuelling unprecedented demand for data centre capacity, with AI emerging as a major driver. Supporting AI
