Looking forward, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia represents the next major node in our GCC delivery model. With ambitious data centre investment forecasted in the region – expected to hit US $ 6.73 billion by 2027 – the case for DPI’ s continued expansion has never been stronger.

Successful global expansion is often rooted in strong in-country leadership – how valuable is investing in local expertise situated within the region?

• On-site renewable power: A powerful 450kW rooftop solar array delivers clean energy, substantially reducing our operational carbon footprint while promoting environmental stewardship.

• Supply chain innovation: Over 80 % of our raw materials are sourced within a 20km radius, dramatically cutting transport emissions and supporting the local economy while reducing embodied carbon in our products.

• Leading manufacturing processes: We are pioneering sustainable manufacturing methods that reduce water and chemical waste, showcasing our integrated approach to emissions reduction across Scopes 1, 2 and 3.

Can you tell us about DPI’ s footprint within the GCC region and the trends you’ re seeing across the different countries?

Our established presence in Dubai and Abu Dhabi enables us to serve the evolving requirements of the UAE’ s digital sector, as well as the broader GCC. The upcoming expansion into Saudi Arabia is a strategic next step. We are seeing an upsurge in demand for scalable, sustainable data centre solutions across the region, as organisations look towards cloud migration, Generative AI and digital identity initiatives. This growth is positioning the Middle East as a global digital hub.

How does your UAE facility anchor a new model for sustainable, locally responsive data centre manufacturing in the Middle East?

Our Dubai manufacturing facility is a realworld manifestation of DPI’ s commitment to sustainability and regional value creation. It is intentionally designed to reduce our operational and embodied carbon footprint, thanks to renewable power, local sourcing and advanced minimisation of waste and emissions. This integrated, ESG-aligned model ensures we don’ t just meet the region’ s current demand, but set new benchmarks for future-ready, responsible data centre development.
