DEEP GREEN PROPOSES US $ 120 MILLION SUSTAINABLE DATA CENTRE INVESTMENT IN DOWNTOWN LANSING

Deep Green plans to build a first-of-its-kind 24-megawatt( MW), ultra-efficient data centre in downtown Lansing.

The US $ 120 + million project combines powerful computing capacity with a groundbreaking approach to carbon-neutral heat recovery, making Lansing a national model for sustainable technology and clean energy innovation.
Deep Green designs and operates ultra-efficient, high-density data centres that capture and reuse the heat they produce with negligible water use. The company will partner with the Lansing Board of Water and Light( BWL) to supply free, carbonneutral heat directly into BWL’ s hot water system, cutting carbon emissions and creating lasting community benefits.
The Lansing community can expect a US $ 120 + million capital investment generating US $ 1 million in additional annual revenue from the partnership with the BWL, as well as significant property tax gains. The project will deliver over US $ 1.1 million in annual natural gas savings to the BWL through reduced demand, equivalent to 5,000 homes and more than 310,000 MCF. It will also reduce carbon emissions at a rate equivalent to removing 3,000 cars from the road each year.
Construction will create more than 35 union and high-tech jobs, with around 15 permanent operational roles. Deep Green will also support local nonprofits and charities with contributions of US $ 6,000 per MW of contracted data centre usage, up to US $ 120,000 annually. Funds will go to initiatives like Pennies for Power, which supports families struggling to pay utility bills.
and DataVolt plan to develop a multi-gigawatt data centre pipeline, designed to power the world’ s most demanding AI workloads.
By combining HUMAIN’ s leadership in advancing Saudi Arabia’ s AI ecosystem and attracting global compute leaders to the Kingdom, together with DataVolt’ s proven expertise in designing, constructing and operating complex infrastructure that integrates advanced energy and cooling innovations, the partnership aims to deliver high-performance, sustainable and scalable data centres with costefficiency at their core.
