Canada Pension Plan Investment Board( CPP Investments) has agreed to establish an
AU $ 14 billion(€ 8 billion) European data centre partnership with Goodman Group, which is based in Australia. The 50 / 50 partnership includes an initial AU $ 3.9 billion(€ 2.2 billion) commitment to develop data centre projects in Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Paris. This marks CPP Investments’ first data centre partnership in Europe, expanding its global portfolio. The partnership covers four projects delivering 435 MW of primary power and 282 MW of IT load, with secured power, planning approvals and advanced site works enabling construction to begin by June 2026.

SINGAPORE
Canaan, an innovator in crypto mining, has announced a 3.0 MW proof-of-concept with
Bitforest Investment in Manitoba, Canada, to recover heat from an Avalon computing system and use the heat as a supplemental source for greenhouse operations. The pilot is part of Canaan’ s broader initiatives to make highdensity computing operations more efficient using cuttingedge semiconductor chips that create practical energy reuse across commercial and consumer applications. The project will also allow Canaan to evaluate key performance indicators for agricultural applications, such as heat recovery efficiency, system stability and operating and maintenance intensity under real operating conditions.
