PROJECT
ROUND-UP
SPAIN
Vantage Towers, one of Europe’ s leading tower companies, and Gridle, Elisa Industriq’ s energy optimisation business, have agreed on a collaboration to strengthen the resilience, value and sustainability of Vantage Towers’ telecom infrastructure in Spain. The initiative aims to lay the foundation for a virtual power plant on Vantage Towers’ infrastructure and begins with an initial deployment at selected radio base station sites where AI-powered Gridle will optimise the company’ s battery systems. Leading telecom companies, including DNA Towers Finland, use the service to optimise charging, reduce emissions and participate more efficiently in energy markets.
MALAYSIA
TECO Electric & Machinery has announced another major milestone in its Southeast Asia expansion, successfully securing Hyperscale Data Centre projects for a US-based cloud service provider in Malaysia and Thailand. The contracts cover power system integration and large-scale fibre-optic telecommunications infrastructure, with a combined contract value of approximately US $ 79 million. TECO is responsible for the electrical package of the Malaysia project, showcasing its international competitiveness in hyperscale data centre power system integration, engineering design and project management. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2027.
USA
Waste2Nano LLC, a new US infrastructure and advanced-materials company, has announced the launch of its proprietary Wastewater-Cooled AI platform. Waste2Nano LLC designs and builds custom modular systems that integrate wastewater infrastructure with AI / data centre cooling and waste mining of wastewater solids into advanced materials. The company ' s platform is designed to reduce freshwater conflict, lower sludge liabilities and enable domestic production of highvalue advanced materials to improve economics and scalability. Waste2Nano ' s first deployment is planned at 10,000 – 20,000 m ³/ day(~ 5 MGD) capacity, designed to produce a few tonnes per day of MC / nanocellulose, with portable units engineered to integrate into existing WWTP and data centre infrastructure without disrupting core treatment operations.
INDIA
India ' s Adani Group said it will invest US $ 100 billion by 2035 to build renewable-energypowered data centres designed for Artificial Intelligence( AI) workloads, marking one of the country ' s largest private commitments to digital infrastructure. The investment aims to establish a sovereign energy and computing backbone to support India ' s growing AI ecosystem. The group said the initiative could catalyse an additional US $ 150 billion in investments across servers, sovereign cloud platforms, advanced electrical systems and related infrastructure, forming a projected US $ 250 billion AI ecosystem. The roadmap expands AdaniConnex ' s existing 2 gigawatts( GW) national data centre capacity to 5 GW. The platform is designed to integrate renewable generation, grid resilience and high-density AI computing infrastructure within a unified architecture.
