Worley has been awarded three engineering services contracts by Burr Computer
Environments( BCEI), to provide engineering, detailed design and procurement support services for energy centre projects in the US. This work aligns with Worley’ s strategy to expand into future-facing growth markets central to economic resilience and leverage existing capability in complex energy systems.
The projects will support data centre campus developments with behind-the-meter power generation. The completed energy centres will be using a combination of gas turbines, aeroderivative turbines and reciprocating engines, as well as battery energy storage systems and intra-campus electrical distribution.
The work will be delivered by Worley’ s Houston, Charleston( West Virginia) and Reading offices in the US, supported by the Global Integrated Delivery team.
“ Together, these projects represent a significant programme of energy infrastructure supporting the growth of major data centre developments in the US,” said Chris Ashton, Chief Executive Officer of Worley.“ There is increasing demand for reliable power solutions with power intensive workloads and this aligns with our strategy to grow in future facing growth markets including power and data centre infrastructure.”
