This mix of adaptable technologies, along with energy consumed coming from 100 % renewable resources, enables increased energy efficiency and cost savings.
Benjamin Rovira, CEO, Oxigen, said:“ We have been working with the Vertiv team for more than 20 years, during which they have always demonstrated exceptional professionalism and delivered state-of-the-art technology. Knowing both their products and their team well and having always achieved strong results, we trust their ability to adapt to our evolving requirements.”
The Oxigen data centre has 6MW of total power and up to 20 kW per rack to serve industries including the pharmaceutical, industrial, technological, education and public sectors. Oxigen customers expect their critical digital infrastructure to provide continuous uptime to support significant processing capability, consistent cooling and stored electricity – especially at peak hours.
Jordi Gonzalez Sandalinas, Enterprise Account Manager Vertiv, said:“ The collaboration with Oxigen is testament to the ability of our solutions to adapt and expand with the customer’ s needs. Our focus on energy efficiency, coupled with flexibility and ongoing support, allows Oxigen to grow without compromising the quality or security of its services. Over the years, we have built strong trust and demonstrated a deep knowledge of Oxigen’ s needs, in addition to providing a broad and innovative portfolio of technologies. This is why the company has placed its full trust in Vertiv’ s service team for the maintenance and management of the equipment.”
We asked Benjamin Rovira, CEO of Oxigen, further questions to find out more about the project.
What motivated Oxigen to collaborate with Vertiv for the design and implementation of your largest data centre in Sant Cugat del Vallès?
Sant Cugat del Vallès data centre is the largest of our facilities, making it essential that we partnered with a reliable and well-established provider in the market, capable of delivering a scalable, secure and future-proof design.
Vertiv’ s ability to integrate advanced cooling, energy management and monitoring systems has enabled us to build a state-of-the-art data centre that combines sustainability and high performance.
How does the facility’ s scalability and ability to quickly adapt to market needs, such as AI projects, benefit your clients and position Oxigen in the industry?
Our infrastructure is designed to scale rapidly and adapt to evolving technological demands, including AI, Big Data and high-performance computing.
With a modular design and high-power density per rack( up to 20 kW), we provide our clients with the flexibility to expand their operations seamlessly.
More and more, we encounter growing demand for dedicated private cloud services with highperformance computing powered by GPUs, particularly for AI applications, simulations and advanced data analytics. Our ability to adapt to these requirements positions us as an industry leader, offering top-tier hosting and colocation solutions for sectors requiring maximum power and reliability.
Could you elaborate on how the Uptime Institute’ s Tier III certification ensures the reliability and resilience of your data centre operations?
The Tier III certification from the Uptime Institute guarantees that our data centre provides a high level of redundancy and fault tolerance. This means we can perform preventive maintenance without affecting service availability, thanks to an N + 1 architecture that ensures uninterrupted operations even in the event of a critical component failure. This certification level allows us to offer clients a 99.982 % uptime, ensuring maximum reliability in missioncritical environments.
Additionally, all our data centres are Tier III compliant, ensuring we uphold strict standards in design, operations and energy efficiency, delivering top-tier security and service quality to our clients.
How has Vertiv’ s Critical Insight software enhanced the management and real-time monitoring capabilities of your data centre?
Vertiv Critical Insight provides realtime visibility into our data centre’ s performance and efficiency. This software enables us to monitor and analyse critical data, such as energy consumption, temperature and system load, facilitating a rapid response to any incidents.
Furthermore, through predictive analytics and remote management, we can optimise
