resource allocation and continuously improve service availability, ensuring operational efficiency and sustainability.
Given that the energy consumed at your data centre comes from 100 % renewable resources, how does Oxigen balance energy efficiency with the growing demand for power in high-performance environments?

“ THE COLLABORATION WITH OXIGEN IS TESTAMENT TO THE ABILITY OF OUR SOLUTIONS TO ADAPT AND EXPAND WITH THE CUSTOMER’ S NEEDS.

At Oxigen, energy efficiency is a top priority. To minimise consumption without compromising performance, we implement advanced cooling systems, including Vertiv’ s Free Cooling technology, which allows us to leverage external temperatures to reduce energy demand.
This is combined with cold aisle containment within our racks, maintaining a temperature range aligned with ASHRAE recommendations, ensuring optimal efficiency and performance.
For power protection, we utilise modular UPS systems, optimising energy consumption and ensuring system redundancy. Additionally, we use lithiumion batteries, which allow operations at higher temperatures without requiring additional cooling, further reducing our energy footprint.
Moreover, we rely exclusively on 100 % certified renewable energy sources and optimise resource usage through virtualisation and intelligent workload management. This strategy enables us to operate a highly sustainable data centre, capable of meeting the growing demands of highperformance computing with maximum energy efficiency.
With 6MW of total power and up to 20 kW per rack, how do you ensure your data centre can meet the diverse needs of industries like pharmaceuticals, technology and education? flexibility and adaptability for various industries. For the pharmaceutical sector, we ensure security and regulatory compliance through strict control protocols and redundancy measures. In technology, we support high-performance workloads with highdensity racks and ultra-fast connectivity.
For the education sector, we offer scalable solutions that enable the management of large volumes of data and online services with reliability.
For the technology industry, where intellectual property is critical, we create dedicated environments to ensure that no resources are shared, and that all infrastructure meets the highest security standards required for IP protection. This allows our clients to operate in a fully isolated environment, safeguarding their most sensitive assets with maximum security and regulatory compliance.
Currently, our Sant Cugat site operates with a total power capacity of 6MW, but we have planned future expansions to increase this capacity beyond 15MW.
This will allow us to meet growing market demands and continue providing high-density, highperformance solutions for our clients. Through a combination of power capacity, redundancy and scalability, Oxigen can meet the most demanding needs across all sectors.
