NED BEGINS CONSTRUCTION OF AI DATA CENTRE IN ISRAEL
NED has announced the commencement of the first phase of its Alpha Campus, a US $ 350 million AI and cloud data centre campus in Netanya, Israel.
The facility aims to become one of Israel’ s greenest computing hubs.
Developed in partnership with real estate developer Levinstein and with backing from UK-based data centre investment firm Goldacre, the LEED Gold-certified facility will span 35,000 sqm and provide 42MVA of power, with plans for future expansion. Goldacre aims to utilise its expertise from Kao Data to inform the development of NED’ s new facility.
Located on Israel’ s central Mediterranean coast, near Tel Aviv, the campus will enhance the region’ s technology infrastructure, offering high availability and services for hyperscale and enterprise clients.
The Alpha Campus will provide AI-ready infrastructure to Israel, supporting AI and high-performance computing( HPC) workloads. The campus will feature cooling options, including direct liquid cooling( DLC) starting at 100kW per rack, in-row cooling and rear-door heat exchangers. Its fortified underground design will provide protection against physical and cyberthreats. Electra Limited will construct the campus, with operations expected to begin in 2027.
Daniel Efrati, CEO of NED, said:“ The Alpha Campus represents a bold step forward for Israel’ s digital infrastructure. As AI continues to drive innovation and economic growth, this facility will not only support the region’ s technological needs but also serve as a global benchmark for sustainable and secure data centre design.”
A 6 MW expansion of tier-3 type critical power at Sabey’ s Seattle campus will be available from 1 December 2025. The Seattle facility uses 100 % carbon-free electricity from Seattle City Light and offers extensive interconnection options, with an average annualised power usage effectiveness( PUE) of approximately 1.5.
The Columbia campus in East Wenatchee will see 5.5 MW of tier-3 type critical power available from November 1 2025. The site benefits from low-cost, renewable hydropower, with energy rates below US $ 0.05 per kilowatt hour and an average annualised PUE of 1.2. The Columbia campus provides network connectivity with access to over seven tier 1 providers and further expansions are planned for 2026 and 2028.
Sabey Data Centers is increasing capacity at its Washington state campuses, adding 11.5 megawatts( MW) to meet rising demand for sustainable digital infrastructure.
