EDGECONNEX JOINS SINGAPORE’ S SUSTAINABLE TROPICAL DATA CENTRE TESTBED PHASE 2.0

EdgeConneX, a pioneer in global Build-to-Suit and Build-to-

Density infrastructure solutions, has announced that it has joined the Sustainable Tropical Data Centre Testbed Phase 2.0( STDCT 2.0) Consortium as its top-tier anchor partner.
First launched in 2023 and hosted at the College of Design and Engineering( CDE) in the National University of Singapore( NUS), STDCT was established to enhance Singapore’ s competitiveness in sustainable and efficient data centre solutions and is recognised as the first data centre testbed in the tropics.
Phase 2.0 advances that mission, focusing on next-generation, AIready data centre solutions that incorporate critical technologies such as advanced liquid cooling and grid-responsive operations to power ultra-high-density racks sustainably.
More than a physical facility, STDCT 2.0 is a technology- and operator-agnostic co-innovation programme designed to bring together stakeholders across the data centre industry to futureproof the tropical data centre sector. The STDCT 2.0 initiative builds on a wider effort to develop a living testbed that brings together academia and industry to evaluate, validate, derisk and accelerate the deployment of sustainable solutions for tropical data centre environments.
This new partnership deepens EdgeConneX’ s commitment to sustainable and efficient data centre innovation in one of the world’ s most challenging operating environments. Home to the company’ s Asia Pacific regional headquarters, Singapore holds strategic importance for the company, which is proud to support the nation’ s journey to become an anchor point for next-generation AI deployments.
The EdgeConneX commitment spans multiple years and includes funding towards a shared infrastructure pool managed by the programme team, as well as specific curated projects where EdgeConneX will directly contribute its global data centre expertise, including its high-density data centre solution, Ingenuity.

NOVVA Group, an integrated industrial and financial AI infrastructure platform dedicated to IDCs, powered land, powered shells and renewable energy infrastructure, has announced the execution of a binding framework agreement in Paris to acquire a landmark 3.17 GW renewable energy portfolio in Argentina from German developer, ABO Energy. assembling high-quality wind and solar assets at scale delivers the certainty and bankability the AI economy demands."

" The upcoming transaction is in line with our strategy of focusing on core markets. We are pleased to continue our successful collaboration with Novva," said Dr Karsten Schlageter.
The agreement builds on the successful acquisition of three solar projects in Colombia from ABO Energy earlier this year. Together with active developments across emerging markets, this transaction significantly reinforces Novva ' s global energy foundation and accelerates its expansion into Latin America.
Operating as an energy investment bank for the AI era, Novva integrates development, financing and end-to-end delivery to provide bankable, aggregated clean power for next-generation data centres, powered land and powered shells across the globe.
" Securing this 3.17 GW portfolio marks a decisive leap in our Latin America pipeline," said Steven Liu, Founder and CEO of Novva. " This upcoming acquisition propels Novva into the top-tier of regional renewable energy platforms and establishes us as one of the fastest-scaling infrastructure players powering the AI era.
